Carl Lantz -- Spectrum Of The Heart Sessions
Perspective Audio Visual Services
Recording Studio

This page is not intended for public consumption. It is provided to track communication between Perspective Music Audio Visual Services and Carl Lantz. This is a good medium to close the loop on financial and audio issues and provide other information that is useful to the business and the relationship.

Time Log --  Microsoft Excel spread sheet to track studio time. Current total is 3.5 hours.

NOTE: If you don't have Microsoft Excel I can send this information in a text file upon request.

Audio Plans/Issues

    1. Carl let me know how the audio sounds. There's a bit of reverb, maybe too much.
    2. Given the style of your poetry and your speaking style, I think some sort of background music or sound might be nice. Maybe on all of the pieces.
    3. You wouldn't necessarily need to re-track your performance. I can move your words around to fit the sound and cadence that you want.
    4. You might want to think about what sound or music you would want to incorporate. Some options:
      • I can record someone for you for each song
      • I can write and record something for you for each song
      • I can record sounds from the Kurzweil K2600RS studio synthesizer. These sounds can be very real or synthetic.
    5. Given the feelings I get with your poetry, I think music with a beat would be distracting. So I don't suggest the first two options.
    6. I think having a sound context is all that you need. For example, I can imagine something as simple as a wind blowing sound. The Kurzeil has nearly infinite sound capability. I could demo it for you if you like.
    7. On a simple approach we'd turn on a sound that is modulating somewhat but essentially static. We'd just add space in your dialog (if needed) where appropriate.
    8. A more complex approach would be to have a context sound. But then, in the spaces overlay a simple melody. Like a one or two bar rubatto melody on a real instrument or synth.

Let me know what our next step is at your convenience.

Heart Sculpture for Recording Studio Lobby

Here's a photo of the lobby door from outside the house. The door is mostly symetric so a detailed photo inside may not be necessary. I'll take a digital photo of the lobby area this week and upload that to this page. Click on either of the photos and a large high resolution photo will be displayed.
